Vendors row is where you can find all the parts and accessories that you need to make your trip complete. There is technically 2 Vendor areas in Glamis that offer products and services. The largest area for vendors is located just west of the Beach store, and smaller second area, located off Gecko Rd by the rangers station. You can find everything from new paddle tires to t shirts

Beach store/Vendor Row

The World famous Glamis beach store is located on highway 78 and is a permanent structure that is there year round. The beach store property has been an Icon of Glamis since 1979. The Beach store is private land and about a 100 acres in total. Polaris purchased the property in 2018 and currently maintains and rents land to other vendors to provide services to patrons. The Beach store is like any campground camp store. You can find a wide variety of items inside from RV accessorizes, off road parts, T-shirts, Beer and ice cream. There is a small overhang out front with picnic tables to enjoy your cold drinks and ice cream or a chance to get out of the sun on a hot day.

Attached to the building you will find Joe Fab who is on site and will be able to fix/weld just about anything. Joe Fab has been in the industry for years building sand cars. If you need something welded this is you go to place in vendors row. Just to the west a little you will find all the others vendors down in the sand. This is comprised of one main row of Vendors that set up from October to April to offer products and services. In a second row behind you will find some of the vendors that offer services on most major weekends. The list of the everyday vendors include favorites like Gilmores offroad for all your parts, accessories and T shirts, Big belly crew for t shirts and firewood, Daddy’s famous food for the best food in the sand.

  • Gilmores offRoad, Big Belly Crew, Daddy Famous Food
  • Several places to get food, Daddys famous food or the lunch box
  • Replacement parts, Belts, T-shirt, lighted whips, goggles, helmets, tires,
  • Service providers like MTS suspension, Shock therapy, Evo, PCI, and SXS rentals
  • Welding shops like Joe Fab located next door to the Beach store

Places like Gilmores offroad have always been my first stop for parts and accessories in the Dunes. If you ran out of talent and broke or rolled your rig, Gilmores has the parts to get you back in the sand. They stock belts, A-Arms, Axles, tires, can also Mount Tires, just about everything to get you going. In recent years they have also offered services to repair rigs on site for an additional cost. They sell accessories from helmets, goggles, lighted whips, t-shirts, paddle tires, and lighting accessories. They have been in the same place for the last 30 years. Stand up people that are there to truly help you get back in the dunes. Gilmores is just one of the many vendors that you can find here to piece your rig back together between.

A trip to Glamis is not complete without a visit to vendors row to get your T-Shirt to commemorate the trip to the dunes. There are several T shirt vendors on the row. Places like Gilmores, Glamis speed shop, Glamis pit stop, and Ride on industries. All these ships have there own designs and provide a wide variety of shirts, tank tops, and sweatshirts for you to choose from. If you are hungry you can grab food from Daddy famous food or from the Glamis Lunch Box. Both places have good food and provide a wide selection from burgers to carne asada. Both offer Ice Cream for desert.

Gecko Rd Vendors

The smaller Vendor area off Gecko rd, located across from the ranger station, is a small pad that usually houses 2 or 3 vendors. Sweet Marie’s is the staple of this pad and has been located here forever. This Vendor has many replacement parts, Welding services, tires repaired and mounted, Firewood, and Ice cream. If you are camped on Gecko sometimes a quick stop here will save you a drive all the way to the Vendors Row and the Beach Store.

If you are not able to find what your looking for between the vendors area it may take a drive into one of the neighboring towns to get what you need. Head back west on HWY78 into Brawley or a little south to El Centro. In Brawley there are several automotive stores ( O’reillys, Napa, Autozone) plus Clarks Motorcyle (760) 560-8643. In El Centro right off HWY 8 and 4th ST you can find Coyne Powersports (760) 353-2110 that carries most major brands and the parts that you couldn’t find. There are also major stores located of main street like Walmart, Target, Costco, grocery stores, and auto part stores. A quick 30 minute drive into town can sometimes get you the item needed to get you back on the sand.

Sh*t is going to break

Riding through the dunes many things can go wrong drop offs, witches eyes, or simply not paying attention. Off roading is hard on the equipment and things will break even on a very well maintained piece of equipment. Just know that many times a trip can be saved by fellow group members being able to get you out of the dunes and back to camp. Then diagnosing the problem and sourcing the parts that you need from Vendors row or town.

  • Always Travel with friends that like you, and wont leave you stranded.
  • Bring some basic tools to make repairs and if possible spare parts in the trailer
  • Learn from your friends in the group, Hopefully they have something to share.

Vendors Row has saved many a trip for people. Biggest resource is yourself, your friends, and the ability to patchwork a rig together to keep dunning for the weekend. Previous experiences will help get you out of the dunes and safely back to the trailer to make repairs. It is Recommended to carry a good tool roll bag that you can throw basic tools into the rig. Or if you want something already put together, lets say a UTV specific bag, check out something like this BOXO tool bag roll. A specific kit like this will have all the necessary tools and sockets sizes to fix most parts on the UTV to make all the trail repairs needed. If you do not have a specific tool bag many times within the group you will have all the tools needed to remove or fix the vehicle.

Below is a video of Vendor row for 2024-2025 season. This is the main row and all the vendors in the video are on site from October to April. There is a second row closer to the store that you will find A place for SXS rentals, Shock Therapy, MTS suspensions, PCI, and Glamis Rescue. SXS rentals and Glamis Rescue are on site all weekends and the others will be present most busy weekends.
