Vendors row is where you can find all the parts and accessories that you need to make your trip complete. There is technically 2 Vendor areas in Glamis that offer products and services. The biggest area for vendors is located just west of the Beach store and smaller second area, on the west side, of the dunes located just off Gecko Rd by the rangers station.

Beach store/Vendor Row

The World famous Glamis beach store is located on highway 78 and is a permanent structure that is there year round. The beach store property has been an Icon of Glamis since 1979. The Beach store is private land and about a 100 acres in total. Polaris purchased the property in 2018 and currently maintains and rents land to other vendors to provide services to patrons. The Beach store is like any campground camp store. You can find a wide variety of items inside from RV accessorizes, off road parts, T-shirts, Beer and ice cream. There is a small overhang out front with picnic tables to enjoy your cold drinks and ice cream or a chance to get out of the sun on a hot day.

Just to outside and to the west a little you will find vendors row. This is comprised of one main row of Vendors that set up from October to April to offer products and services. The list include favorites like Gilmores off road for all your parts, accessories and tshirts, Big belly crew for t shirts and firewood, Daddys famous food for the best food in the sand.

  • Gilmores offRoad, Big Belly Crew, Daddy Famous Food
  • Several places to get food
  • Replacement parts, Belts, T-shirt, lighted whips, goggles, helmets, tires,
  • Service providers like MTS suspension, Shock therapy, Evo, PCI, and SXS rentals
  • Welding shops like Joe Fab located next door to the Beach store

Places like Gilmores offroad is always my first stop for parts and accessories in the Dunes. If you had a bad day and broke or rolled your rig, Gillmores has the parts to get you back in the sand. They stock belts, A-Arms, Axles, tires, can also Mount Tires, just about everything to get you going. In recent years they have also offered services to repair rigs there on site for additional cost. They sell accessories from helmets, goggles, lighted whips, t-shirts, paddle tires, and lighting accessories. They have been in the same place for the last 30years. Stand up people that are there to truly help you get back in the dundes. Gilmores is just on of the many vendors that you can find here to piece your rig back together between.

A trip to glamis is not complete without a visit to vendors row to get your T-Shirt to commemorate the trip to the dunes.

Gecko Rd

The smaller Vendor area off Gecko rd is a small pad that usually houses 2 or 3 vendors. Sweet Maries has been located on this pad for ever. This shop has many replacement parts, Welding services, tires repaired and mounted, buy Firewood and an Ice cream all at the same time. If you are camped on Gecko sometimes a quick stop here will save you a drive all the way to the Vendors Row and the Beach Store.

If you are not able to find what your looking for between the vendors area it may take a drive into one of the neighboring towns to get what you need. Head back west on HWY78 into Brawley or a little south to El Centro. In Brawley there are several automotive stores ( O’reillys, Napa, Autozone) plus Clarks Motorcyle (760) 560-8643. In El Centro right off HWY 8 and 4th ST you can find Coyne Powersports (760) 353-2110 that carries most major brands and the parts that you couldn’t find. There are also major stores located of main street like Walmart, Target, Costco, grocery stores, and auto part stores. A quick 30 minute drive into town can sometimes get you the item needed to get you back on the sand.

Sh*t is going to break

Vendors Row has saved many a trip for people. Biggest resource is yourself, your friends, and the ability to patchwork a rig together to keep dunning for the weekend. Previous experiences will help get you out of the trouble your in your in, and safely back to the trailer to make repairs. It is Recommended to carry a good tool roll bag that you can throw tools in. Or if you want something already put together for a UTV specific vehicle check out something like this BOXO tool bag roll. A specific kit like this will have all the necessary tools and sockets sizes to fix most parts on the trail. Many times within the group you will have all the tools needed from all the tool bags.
